since HabanoSy asked here goes,
Claro smooth, but not oily wrapper. Draw is slightly tight, but only at the start. Throughout this is a very consistent mild-medium smoke; nutty and slightly spicy flavours from start to finish. The first two thirds have a pleasant citrusy note which disappears in the last part to give way to some leather and grassy aromas and some extra spice, but without getting harsh. Burn slightly irregular, but corrects itself, ash stays on for about an inch before dropping and is quite firm.
No fireworks here but a cigar I cannot fault in any way; as my first robusto I enjoyed it although I would have liked a bit more of an evolution in the progression. In any case a lot better than the C.Torano Nicaraguan selection (another cheap Torano)PC which I had yesterday and was quite a disappointment.
Pricewise it's one of the cheapest Robustos I could find on the usual UK internet sellers sites (goes for 4.99 at CGars), but across the pond it's a lot cheaper (I've seen it for 1,50 per stick at CI). If I was in the US, I might be tempted to buy a couple more, here in the UK I'll probably rather dish 2-3 pounds extra and try an Oliva or CAO.
