• First cigar review

Ok, I'm sitting on my doorstep with a glass of cognac and a drew estates shade factory smokes, it's 02:00 in the morning and the streets are empty, I'm not going to pretend that I can taste all the flavours that you guys can taste, but I have to be honest, this is the nicest cigar I've enjoyed so far, its a very mild smoke but very pleasant, its one of those cigars that you can't wait till the next puff, in my opinion, its the perfect newbie smoke, the further I get down the stick, the nicer it gets and to me, thats what enjoying a cigar is all about, these things are an absolute bargain in my opinion, well I've smoked this lovely cigar to the end and it was very consistent, and very enjoyable, the burn was perfect all the way to the end, this was a newbie compulsive buy and I have absolutely no regrets, that's just my opinion, hope you all stay well, atb Daz

Nice review, you'd better stash a few away so you always have a 'go to cigar' at hand.

Nice. BTW, most of 'us guys' can't taste anything like the range of flavours some claim to!

I can't help but wonder if half the reviews just google what the last person said they tasted!

There are some definite flavours I pick up but the detail that some people seem to be able to taste is incredible

I wish I could locate the flavour wheel which had 'nice tobacco - nasty tobacco' instead of all the imaginary flavours.

I know its incredible the range of taste isn't it? - the last cigar I smoked you could taste the aroma of warm slightly toasted sesame seeds in fact I counted 10 seeds and at one point in particular I got a taste like burnt strawberry jam on lightly buttered (I think it was Lurpak) scones, the cigar aroma filled the air like just after you run into a field of wet grass after a sprinkling of morning dew, in fact I could tell the grass had been recently mowed........ I wish........

You should try smoking with a drop of balsamic vinegar on your tongue...

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Great honest review

I taste some of the exotic tastes sometimes. Chocolate is frequent. The swedish smokes from Henrik had ginger.
I'm not sure I've ever tasted leather and it does make we wonder about the sex lives of some members. Think about it.

Will anyone admit to tasting PVC???

I hope you’re joking I’ve heard this before about the Bolivar Short Bolivar Andorra RE, well burning plastic was what I heard. Doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence about the box I have.

Try it with an Antico Classico - or any fire cured - they do go together. but there again the last Antico I smoked someone compared it to a dog turd

Err.. some people seem to like them but they're not for me. Think Hookmaker has gone through a couple of boxes.

I've only got a couple but there's definitely a taste I can only compare to burnt plastic to me, almost like the smell/taste of an electrical short in a plastic enclosure. Not as bad as it once was so hopefully just need 5 years down and that'll do but I'm not confident for my taste anyway!
