So a quick review for a short cigar the Cohiba Shorts, being a fan of the RYJ Puritos, and the Monte Puritos I thought why not give these a go, afterall its Cohiba and the clubs are quite popular.
Its actually much smaller than I was expecting, smell typical Cuban smell very hay/grassy smell, pre light draw a tobacco sweetness along with that hay profile so far so good. Onto the smoke, it lit fine, plumes of smoke for such a little stick, however taste wise very disappointing and I'm not expecting much, yes the cuban grass flavour is there but within 5 minutes it got harsh Cafe Creme level harsh.
OK maybe not quite that bad but for a cuban mini I expect that quality even with something like a Purioto or Mini as I have from RYJ and Monte, this wasnt great yeah it fine for 10 minute smoke but seriously a better quick Cuban fix can be had with RYJ and Monte selctions for smaller cigars, for what I paid for the shorts, you would be better to get a pack of RYJ petit Julietas or H Upman Corona J in a similar price range in all honesty.
It's sad really because Cohiba can be great but my last few samples from them have been disappointing.
