So at the end of my last review I mentioned that I would be trying some of Cgars ltd more budget offerings just to see if there were any gems to be found and we start with 100% Peruvian Cigar. It looks like a well constructed Cigar smell is of a sweet tobacco. I went with a X cut for this cigar and on the pre light a very sweet tangy wood flavour is present.
It lights well producing good smoke the flavour it?s interesting a very medium sweet tangy flavour yet very smooth and creamy, it?s already surprising me now as the strength is medium yet creamy smooth with that tang on the end. That?s a lot of flavour for an excellent profile as we get through the cigar flavour remains mostly unchanged however that wood transitions to an almost grass profile but again medium sweet and smooth and creamy.
As we get into the final third a pepper with a very slight earthy tone is present not undercutting the tang sweet smoothness but adding a new dimension to it, after a certain point when getting past the band a slight harshness does present itself but that isn?t surprising. What is that for it?s price I wasn?t expecting anything more than a 1 dimensional cigar but have been left pleasantly surprised by this, why not the most complex cigar, it?s has more to it and is even on par with a few Cubans not many but a few, it has been a real treat as Non Cubans go and the price is great especially considering what you get. I?m told the blue version of these isn?t as good but that the red blend tends to impress. I?ll certainly be trying more of the red blend in the future. But this is up there and has impressed me greatly a solid 45-50 minute cigar, flavourful.
Those Churchill Conquistadors do have a task as they are the next smoke, but if you haven?t tried inka secret blend red give them ago you may just be surprised.
