So it?s been a while the weather has been terrible and I?ve just not had the time. But I?ve heard good things about Camacho and so opted to try the Criollo Machitos as supposedly a less powerful smoke...these guys are a smaller cigar but made in the same way as the bigger cousins Just takes less time allegedly to enjoy.
onto the pre light a very sweet woody smell aroma along with that usual tobacco smell and boy does it smell powerful1F72825B-1D3C-4426-AEE6-32785CFB5916.jpg
onto the cut it cuts fine it?s packed well not too tight or loose the pre light draw very strong sweet woody and powerful tobacco flavour. Onto the lighting plumes of beautiful smoke and boy oh boy does it pack one hell of a punch strong sweet wood tobacco and this is the less powerful one. As we get into the first third the sweet wood profile remains but develops a genuine pepper profile to go with its sweet wood flavour and it develops with that pepper hit becoming very strong but never loosing that sweet wood initial flavour.
Boy this flavour is unexpected and bold again considering it isn?t Cuban and supposedly a less powerful cigar. As it goes on the pepper gets bolder but the sweet wood is a nice undercut, then as we come to the end the tobacco harshness is much more pronounced than other Cigars but it never looses the earlier profiles and the harshness only comes in toward the very end.
So the verdict that?s a bold powerful little stick packing a lot of flavour so much infact that the 20-30 min smoking time it?s supposed to take is a little quick it?s a good 40-45 min cigar despite its small size. Considering that this is the less powerful in the Camacho line being somewhere in the middle in strength it took me by surprise in a good way.
Worth a buy and try if you can get them and like something with a punch37319E8B-2D15-4634-9138-1225B7F2697B.jpg
