This is the new Regional Edition for Great Britain and retails at around ?28 a pop. I got mine from My Smoking Shop with next day delivery.

I don't usually spend this much on a single stick but I was thinking of a box as a special occasion cigar so it made sense to try the one first. It is a beautifully made cigar as you would expect. The wrapper had that generic Cuban tobacco smell and I thought I got a very slight hint of cocoa from the foot. I cut as little as I could from the cap and the cold draw was very light, not quite wind tunnel but no effort required.

The burn was constant and went a little awry at times but it seemed to correct itself without any input from me

You can see that lovely grey layered ash that you expect from a Cuban cigar. This cigar produced plenty of smoke which was smooth and light with no trace of pepper or spice.

Just after the ash dropped in my lap!
I went out to my cabin armed with my notepad to faithfully record all the wonderful transitions and flavours you would expect from a cigar like this and wrote hardly anything. One dimensional is a term you'll hear the Cubanistas hurl at NC cigars frequently but this was definitely one dimensional. Not that it was unpleasant, the overall flavour was woody with some cereal notes and so it stayed for about 100 minutes. It was a pleasant smoke but I won't be buying a box anytime soon. There are far better cigars available for special occasion smokes for less money than this.

Time to remove the band. I smoke it to the other side of the bands once removed. The nicotine level was low for a cigar of this size.
