Acid - Cold Infusion Tea
The first of my Acid Cigars reviews, hopefully I will get through and do the whole range.
Acid cigars are made by Drew Estates. Very hard to come by within the UK and very few have heard of the Acid range over here let alone tried them.
Those that have, you know who you are.
I think, if you want to try something totally different and unlike anything you've had before then you should not miss these.
Essentially they are a flavoured cigar, but not with conventional flavours
This is part of the Acid Gold range which it shares with the "Earthiness" & "Atom Maduro"
Strength: Mild to Medium - Size: 6 3/4 x 44 - Wrapper: Natural Connecticut - Country: Nicaragua
The pre-lit smell of this cigar is slightly milder and sweeter than the normal full on Acid smell.
Upon lighting, you get a pleasant flavour slowly coming through like the sea gently lapping up against the beach, but its not identifiable straight away
as it's not something you expect. Then you put your finger on it. It's a peach infused tea flavour theres also a strange undertone of coolness similar to a menthol taste.
As with most Acid cigars your regularly lick your lips for an extra shot of flavour.
Comming into the second third it kicks it up another notch to a medium strength, the slightly sweeter notes die down and your left with a stronger green tea aroma.
Slightly bitter during the last third but the initial flavours are still there.
Appearance: 14/15 - Well made with a very smooth wrapper.
Draw & Burn: 16/20 - An even draw, a small amount of effort to start with.
Flavour & Complexity: 25/30 - It's an acid, enough said. Not as complex as as some of the other range.
Overall: 32/35 - it's pleasant and strange as you would expect. Might not be my first choice in their range
Total: 87/100
