So had a catch up meeting with my boss today and as I have mentioned before she enjoys a nice drop of rum and a cigar so after the work was taken care of we had a drop of Spiced Rum and I brought along some Drew Estate Acid Cigars the Morado Maduro to try. In what is known as the marmite Cigar I was interested to see and try this Cigar and if it was as sweet as I have been told so lets begin:

So lets start with the smell, a beautiful very aromatic smell greets you followed by just that slight cigar whiff, already I can tell this may be very different, the cigar cut fine as I would expect and also lit fine producing a nice even burn. Now for the flavours just wow it was like smoking a desert the incredible sweet taste of the tip followed by a very mellow sweet herb like flavour followed on the end by a typical cigar flavour. That sweetness mellowed slightly but that herby sweet smoke continued and there was so many flavours involved it made my mouth water. Thats Were the rum comes in handy and this cigar went really well with Captain Morgans Spiced Rum.
My boss was very impressed with the Flavour as we just sat in the relaxing atmosphere enjoying a surprising smoke
While I can see why the Acid range is considered to be a Cigar you love or hate, I and my boss personally loved it, a great cigar for those who would enjoy this range and I will certainly be trying more of these and so I am told will my boss. A perfect late Afternoon treat and a amazing companion to a spiced rum I smoked this beauty just as it developed the typical harshness towards the end although it still had its sweetness.
The Acid range is now at the top if my NC list and just a really relaxing flavourful experience. So in all Im in the love camp when it comes to the Acid range.
