Another NC try out. Starting off at ?12 it's not going to be earth shattering but it proved a relaxing experience sitting out in some unexpected sunshine.
Initially looked ok apart from a small peel of the wrapper. Stick quite firm but with definitely some sponginess. Appearance ok , worn tan leather appearance, foot tidy and cap ok if slightly scruffy on one edge. Cut clean with a poor house cutter with only some slight fraying at leading edge.
Dry draw was pepper and full tobacco and stick smelled nice to me. Lit very well and smoked a plenty on its own ( no wind) initial taste neutral but bearing in mind ? it was fine with no harshness. Camomile and light wood with an even burn.
Into the second it needed one correction and still drew cool with decent resistance and a full tobacco spice aroma. Deep fissures but this probably caused by me purging to keep the coolness and pleasant rich tobacco aromas
Encouraged the ash from it and continued with a fairly neutral with hints of chocolate spice. Not high on flavours as expected but good smoke and aroma that into the third became familiar pipe smokiness common in the NCs I've tried.
Into third and no harshness or real heat, mild pepper bit 'rough' then mellowed out in an ok way.
Absolutely fine for what it was and cost. Pleasant hour or two in the garden.
