I was sorting my humis today and realised I have tons of NC's I have largely ignored for probably 18 months. I though I may as well work my way through them and give some reviews from the POV of an unashamed converted CC smoker.
5x54, Nicaraguan. Described as Full/Medium.
Very Firm to the touch, smells sweet and dark.
Good draw, standard pre light of tea.
1/3 - Mild and creamy, not much smoke. Steady burn and apparent good construction, perhaps a little too firm.
Slight sour after taste, not unpleasant but not what I have experienced with CC's.
2/3 - More smoke, still creamy but also a bit of wood. The after taste has turned to leather.
3/3 - Back to just cream though still aftertaste of leather. Expanded and cracked. Getting bitter just after the crack. Starting to excessively dry my mouth out so im done.
Overall - Good, not as stong as advertised. Mild/Medium. Pleasant flavours though not much variation.
I would smoke again, wouldn't rush out for a box but might look out for a 5er. I wish they did a Media Corona size like this, it would be a good little coffee cigar.
Im a slow smoker and this lasted me over an hour.
