This is my first review...hopefully its useful and as a newbie my taste buds aren't uo to scratch with some of you pros but wanted to give my opinion.
So I bought this cigar a few months back, originally I ordered the torpedo but they didn't have it in stock so they sent me this instead.
I was expecting some really good things from this cigar as the torpedo did top the 2015 list
Firstly the cigar looks great...I loved the double band along with the bright orange footband really complements the dark rich wrapper.
I found the cigar was nice and firm throughout with a slight spring. The cold draw had flavours of coco woody taste.
Once lit I found the draw to be slightly too tight and for the size of the cigar not and sadly not enough smoke and did seem to a bit of an effort to smoke
The first third was very nice...the smoke was nice a cool, as mentioned before not enough but had a lovely coco taste with a nutty woody flavour left in the mouth and a hint of tobacco.
The second third the coco had disappeared to more of a hint with more was a more woody tobacco taste. I had to touch up the uneven burn which really occurred in the 2nd third...this brought a slight bitter taste which went very fast.
The final third the cigar needed many touch ups, the burn just didn't hold and would get difficult to smoke. The wrapper started to unravel in the final third..I really didn't enjoy this final third but persisted through.
I was expecting some spice or pepper somewhere in the smoke...bit it never came which really was disappointing...
I've got another in the humi...so will come back to the review over the summer and see if there was any difference. Sadly the toro for me wasnt great.
