Tonight I had my first Cohiba Genios, I can't believe how smooth this cigar is for a maduro. This is unlike any other Cohiba I have tried and people are in for a very different taste here. Remember, this is the first maduro produced in Cuba since the Revolution and you can tell that great care and attention has gone into selecting the right filler and wrapper.
The construction of this cigar was perfect - very firm with just enough give, pre-light draw was coffee and dark chocolate and once lit it smacks you straight away and commands your attention with flavours such as scorched earth, leather, cocoa and subtle spice coming through with the draw delivering great plumes of aromatic smoke.
It's difficult to say at such an early age if this will be a classic, but with another few more years of age it may start to show its colours...
