Well played, that would be the cigar for the occasion.

Tempted by a box of the 52's to out away until my 40th, then share with some mates.

      I recommend the BHK52, particularly BTO 2012.
I think cgars West Hampstead had em in, when I bought my 54 box
      a couple wks ago.

Mine were BTO 2012 October. I was in two minds almost when I saw the same batch there.
But stuck to my guns with BTO 2013 Bhk54.

How come you went for the later year with the 54?

I would've taken a 2012 if they had it, but they only had the 54 from 2013.
I defo wanted a BTO box again. And I know these smoke great, fresh out of the box.
So I knew a box with over a year storage would be prime and ready

If I had the cash, I would've had taken that 52 box too

+1, been dreaming for a box of 52's for a while

But this review put me off, for the price you pay this seemed rather bland. Would rather grab a box of Sig VI's in instead which were amazing for me.

The cigar itself was tightly packed
                    .
Sounds like you got a Partagas roll.

I'm willing to bet the cigar weighed 17.5 grammes before you lit it.
See if you can source another one and weigh it. If it weighs 15 +- 0.7 grammes, smoke it and review that one, too.
Id be quite interested in any differences you pick up.

Great review, tempting... not had one myself, yet.

Every time i think about smoking a behike i ask myself is it going to live up to my expectation... especially as they cost upwards of 3x the price of another quality cigar? I've had a 52 in my humidor since April but it stays there so i can imagine how good they are and not be disappointed!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Simon, nice review. Love the judicious use of photos!

Lovely smokes - for me the pick of the bunch.

I bought three of these when they first came out....2010, I believe

Still haven't even thought about enjoying them....yet! Ponder
