I bought 2 of these from Adam (Habana-Habanos) after his post in the for sale section and have been dying to try one ever since they arrived.
At 50 RG and 4" 7/8 they are a really nice size. It had a nice sheen to the wrapper, light veining and a consistent firmness along the length.
Due to the thickness I elected to punch and was rewarded with a nice easy pre-light draw; not too loose with a slightly floral flavour.
After lighting with the double jet (too breezy for anything else) that floral note was still there with the faintest hint of white pepper.
The ash held for well over an inch (tight & light grey for anyone that cares about such things) and developing a lovely sweet almond flavour around the 2" mark. I'd like to say a hint of marzipan but I don't think that does it justice as I can't stand the stuff, maybe the taste was more akin to the smell of marzipan, rather than the overpowering flavour?
Anyway, at the half point that white pepper became more intense, fading in and out before returning a little more subtly towards the end.
I smoked this until I had no choice but to put it down as my fingers were burning, by far my favourite smoke to date and one that will be firmly on my go-to list in the future, highly recommended.
PS - if you get the chance to buy from Adam please don't hesitate to do so, the cigars arrived in mint condition and were very well priced 👍
