Macanudo seem to like this figurado but the maduro one I had was disgusting. This is billed as mild and light in flavour with a short finish and it certainly hits that target.
This is a very good looking cigar with all the features of the Connecticut shade wrapper leaf clearly visible, the rollers skill is clearly on display here. It measures 6" x50 and is well packed with Dominican fillers and a Mexican binder. There was a little bounce when I squeezed it. Unlit it smelled very much like a Cuban. Once cut the draw was perfect with just a little resistance and tasted mildly earthy.
It lit easily and although the burn line went a little adrift occasionally it burned perfectly with no relights required at all and the ash dropped every inch or so.
Taste wise it was just mld and nutty in the main with leathery notes developing in the bulge section. A hint of pepper showed its face around the half way mark and once out of the bulge and into the neck it got a little bitter as it got constricted but a quick purge cured that.
This cigar reminded me a lot of the OSOK Edgar Hill but wasn't as good.
Not one I shall revisit.
