Had a 2007 Bolivar Belicosos Finos from CGARS during a decent round of golf in sunny Herefordshire yesterday.
My first BF, and only my 2nd Bolivar ever if I think about it.
Can see what the fuss is bout now, thoroughly enjoyable.
Spicy pre lit draw, almost tingling on tongue, good firm draw and excellent construction.
Opened with a strong hit of cocoa which I've never experienced before.
It settled down to a creamy smoke, slightly spicey which coated my entire mouth.
Gained a little in strength but never harsh or bitter.
Smoke was very aromatic, sweet, woody and pleasant.
Burn was good, couple of corrections but there was some wind on the golf course.
I'd read that these were strong, but I never found it overpowering, just hugely relaxing and enjoyable. Will be buying more next time there's a deal going!
