This 6" x47 Dominican puro is highly rated for a lot of people but I'm afraid it just didn't do anything for me. The Connecticut wrapper is described as Maduro in colour but it definitely more of an oscuro it is so dark. The wrapper was very toothy and the whole stick was firm with very little spring, the scent was sweet and earthy. Once cut the draw was quite tight on mine and the cold draw tasted of salty liquorice.
I smoked one of these with Sean and his burn was perfectly straight though mine went a little askew to start but corrected itself, the ash held well and I tapped it off at an inch so save dropping it in my lap.
Sadly I got none of the exotic tastes attributed to this cigar, I thought it was just boring and when it went out with 2" left I let it go. There was no pepper at all and it never needed purging but it just did nothing for me. My wife even noticed my lack of response!
It will be good to hear what the other participants in the box split think of it.
