Very nice looking cigar with a nice colour and shine as well as great build quality. Pre draw is rich and leathery with strong tobacco taste. The band will be coming off but as its loose it can wait for now.
Wine pairing is a Wirra Wirra Church Block Ozzy Blend.
Its a good start although in the last few mins I've started to feel like I'm coming down with a throaghty cold maybe. I'll persevere anyway for now.
Started with a bad burn but good smoke and draw, tasting very leathery and strong tobacco taste not unlike PGD4 but with a more solid build. The cigar manages to be solid and weighty without being too tight on the draw, a quality I always like from a cigar.
10 mins in the burn has improved, the ash being dense on one side and gappy on the other explaining the canoed start.
At 20 mins the flavour and the stick become oily but pleasant, the stick easily holding up to my rough treatment.
Into the final third it becomes strong and slightly acidic, still a pleasant smoke with lots of tobacco and earthy flavour. As my first review I struggle to put into words what I'm experiencing. No hint of spice but lots of bitter yummyness I can only describe as leathery.
In the final few mins the cigar is giving so much nicotine that I'm pretty much done with it but it is with regret that I consign it to its grave in my chimnea.
Build is excellent, holding up to the end with no loss of wrapper even at the cap.
Farewell friend, we will meet again...
