Judging by the reviews of this cigar I found online it should be called the nefarious and reading as I smoked I wondered if it was the same cigar. The Nefasto is a 6" x63 pyramid with a pigtail cap and a shaggy foot. The wrapper is a dark rustic looking Maduro but with none of the classic Maduro sweetness to the taste. The folded over foot felt a little loose as you would expect but the rest of it was quite firm. This example was humidified at 70%. The wrapper had a sweet spicy scent to it that I couldn't put a finger on. It was definitely not cinnamon as some reviewers claimed. Once cut the cold draw was easy and tasted dry and tannic like tea leaves but it wasn't unpleasant.
I have to say that this cigar looks like something Cheech and Chong might have smoked but it definitely wasn't one of those!
It lit very easily thanks in part to the shaggy foot and produced plenty of smoke. The smoke was very mild and the nearest I can come to describing it is fragrant like Earl Grey tea mixed with tobacco, perhaps that's the secret ingredient.
The ash was scruffy with a yellowish tinge and dropped in my lap at around an inch, pretty this cigar is not. The burn was good with no corrections needed but it required a couple of relights after an hour and lasted me an hour and half in all.
Overall it was a mild and pleasant smoke and quite enjoyable.
