Brick House are probably better known for the Mighty Mighty but there is more to their range than that and here is the Corona Larga, all Nicaraguan tobacco and coming in at 6.25" x 46. Beautiful Colorado colour wrapper, well constructed with visible but smooth veins and spicey mocha scent to it. Mark and I both had these and they both lit and burned flawlessly. The initial flavour was mild, creamy and leathery and delicious. There was no pepper at all in this cigar and even my wife admitted to liking the flavour when she tasted it. Into the second third and hints of vanilla started to develop into the palate but not enough to dominate the flavour. The final third developed a taste of roasted nuts, pecans maybe, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Mark having anaesthetised his taste buds with a goodly helping of Mount Gilboa didn't get those flavours but enjoyed it all the same. And yes the rum can deaden your taste buds, Mrs Peejay informed us that rum used to be used as an anaesthetic for dental extractions so remember that when you're combining it with a cigar to review!
Overall this was a very nice cigar and made me glad I had bought the sampler pack.
