Im loving the corvette too, I really think the American motor trade has hit its stride over the last decade or two and is pumping out some great cars that have really distanced themselves from the jelly suspension none cornering beasts of yesteryear.
The corvette these days is absolute testament that nigh on super car performance doesn't have to cost ?150k and come from Italy or a limited run small scale British engineering firm. I just wish they had more of a presence over here along with things like the Camaro, Challenger, Charger and Mustang.

PeeJay. Dropped more ashes than I can imagine but never burnt a hole. One can easily be cleaned and the other repaired. Not worth worrying about.

When I was growing up a local guy used to rebuild midgets and they were things of beauty. He ended up selling a few and buying an Aston DB5 shell from a barn find. Jeez I wish I had pictures of that DB5 when he was finished, he did everything imaginable himself including panel beating. Considering he was a working class mechanic, that DB5 must have been worth close on a 100k by the time he was finished with it.
I would probably cry if I saw what it was worth now.Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14

BTW, I posted this video on Facebook last Monday when I took that drive mentioned in my first post in this thread. At the very end you can see the reflection of my cigar in the tachometer (at 1:55).
You will need a Facebook account to see the video but it kind of shows what I like about top down driving.
