Sold in cabinets of fifty for $3.99 each these sticks represent real value for money in the USA and beyond. Made from a Nicaraguan filler with a Mexican Maduro wrapper by Dion Giolito these sticks come in at 4.5"x50. The wrapper has a slight sheen to it and the veins although visible are smooth, the wrapper gave off a slightly sweet scent and the stick was well packed and firm. I could see the cap was lifting slightly so I used my new Colibri V cutter and although I lost the cap the cut was perfect and it had no adverse effect on the wrapper. The cold draw was good and tasted earthy.
It lit up with no problem and was soon producing plenty of creamy mild tasting smoke. The flavour was leathery with a long finish and a hint of white pepper on the tongue and a sweetness on the back of the palate. It stayed that way for the forty five minutes that I smoked it for what it was worth but it didn't want to burn and went out after an inch. It then started tunnelling and went out again so I gave up on it.
A big thank you to Aaron Sears for sending me this cigar and I know from reading his posts that this was just a poor one. Worth a smoke if you get one.
