I tried this Dominican cigar at the Dunhill shop alongside Mark who was having the Toro. A beautifully constructed cigar with a Connecticut Shade wrapper it comes in at 5.5" x 67 and interestingly enough these retail for almost the same price in Europe. I didn't get anything except tobacco off the wrapper and the draw was perfect as was the burn. It took me a long time to identify any flavours except a tannic taste but eventually I pinned it down to cedar with a very faint floral note. My enjoyment was inhibited a little by it being cut too short for me but once I had taken off another 2mm it smoked a lot better although it needed a few relights towards the end.
I know that Mark actually preferred his to the RASS he had in the morning but I won't be buying another. This is one NC that I didn't find better than a Cuban and the price is comparable.
