This cigar will be no stranger to most of you but what a little beauty it is. This has to be the perfect first cigar for a new smoker. Only 4" long with a ring gauge of 40 it has a Colorado Claro wrapper and mine had almost no scent at all. It was quite a loose fill and felt soft and springy but it burned perfectly all the way down to the nub giving off plenty of mild creamy nutty smoke. I really didn't want to put it down. Nothing complicated, no transitions, just 45 minutes of smoking pleasure. If you haven't tried it yet, buy some.

Exactly what I thought when I tried one - not complex and a great introductory cigar.

Nice wee smoke indeed! Cheap as chips in Spain too.... about ?60 for a box of 25 IIRC

Could be a box buy right there!

Glad yours was better than mine PJ, mine cost E4 but was only worth half that. To soft (underfilled) not as good as the RG PX IMHO. Of course you can't judge a vitola by just one cigar but I won't be rushing to try a second.

Took me a second to realise E4 was Four Euros.
Didn't think anyone could charge that much for the Perlas. But he'll, I still live in a world where RG is almost equal to JLPs. Where the Cazadores (not petit) costed me 4 bucks each. And that's CAD, mind you.

The awesomeness of your beer makes up for the exorbitant cigar prices.

Ha! Great. The microbrews on Mill St. are the best. The stills are practically beside your table!

Mmmmm. Now I kinda want a tall amber pint now. Or maybe a choco stout

Then why are import beers increasing market share year on year in Canada, frankly my experience of Canadian beer is that it's generally utter swill much as the vast majority of US beer is.

Both countries have some decent micro offerings..... But by and large to compare the brewing efforts of Canada to Germany, Belgium, Britain, Ireland and to a lesser extent France, Czech Republic and Spain.

We must be on a different page is all, because I find that claim outlandish at best.

That's a relief! Thought it was just me as they've had a decent response in general.... mine was plain rough!! Obviously hit and miss, or in need of more humi time than I gave it

Just a thought...with the cigar being just a few bob, & Cuban, I personally think the variations "good to bad" go with the territory...
