Like many of I grabbed a 5 pack of these. I've had a single years ago but not thought about it until recently.
Length 5.1"
Gauge 42
Build A little but of flake of the wrapper at one point but otherwise excellent, lovely smooth wrapper with no real veins and feels well packed. Punched easily and easy draw. Burn was initially very uneven but evened out by the first inch, no relights required and went out with half an inch left.
Taste Pre-draw was very mild and kind of fruity. First third was earthy and this continued throughout. The second third was a little fruity again, which surprised me. Last third I noticed the addition of a hint of pepper. I'd call this a mild cigar throughout and it was never harsh or bitter.
I'm more impressed with this than I was last time I tried it. If I'm reading right these 5 packs were discontinued in 2009 so it has a bit of age on it which might explain the difference. The burn issues were probably because my tupperdor is sitting a little bit higher than I like, had I trusted the weather more I'd have dry boxed it overnight but thought I'd chance it. Surprising hit of nicotine at the end.
Really this was an excellent morning smoke and one that I would recommend to beginners or those with more experience who just want a pleasant smoke. Watch out for the nicotine though, it sneaks up on you. What does everyone else think?
