So I managed to find 40 minutes to smoke another cigar this week. This is the second Romeo y Julietta tubo I have in at the moment.
Length 5 1/8"
Gauge 42
Build Like the Romeo no. 1 its a rock solid construction, nice smooth wrapper.
Draw Smooth and easy. Slightly grassy taste before its lit.
Taste Grassy for the first inch or so with a rapidly building earthiness. Over the first third the earthy flavour merges into a distinct leathery note maintained for the remaining cigar. Middle third is all leather and earth with some mild peppery notes coming in during the last third.
Conclusion Though it isn't my favourite cigar its a damn solid stick in every sense. Definitely my favourite of the two RyJ tubos I have tried. I smoked this one hard and fast and it didn't bite until the very end, and I smoked it until my fingers were burning with it. I will buy this again.
