This is the first cigar I've picked up a few of so thought I'd take a stab at a review.
Length 5.52"
Gauge 40
Build Generally excellent construction, firm yet springy with an even wrapper and neat foot. Unfortunately todays decided to split slightly when I punched itbut otherwise impeccable. Lights beautifully. Easily lasted an hour.
Draw Reasonable tight but clean. Very mild taste of spice on the lips.
Flavour Mild start with hints of grass fading away to a pleasant leatheriness in first third or so. Slight peppery note developed by midpoint but unfortunately flavours became muted towards the end. Pleasant but never amazing.
Conclusion Its far from a bad cigar but it isn't a favourite. Construction is excellent and very consistent. I also have some Romeo no. 2s which are quite surprisingly different. Definitely worth a smoke, probably not a bad choice for a beginner.
So what do other think?
