My first ever review, I'm such a newbie that the following may be complete rubbish
Pre light draw was quite chocolatey and left a creaminess on the palate. First third the primary flavours coming through were prominent tobacco and leathery taste, the burn was a bit disappointing, not very even, but I'll put that down to my beginner style lighting of a cigar rather than the cigar itself!!
Second third the creaminess began to shine through, it felt very smooth, the tobacco and leathery flavours had receeded somewhat and gave way to a nice dark chocolate and spicey flavour, it remained quite bitter throughout but not overbearingly so.
Final third was quite harsh, I'm probably too much of a newbie to have appreciated, or at least distinguished the flavours at this point, it felt very old school, by that I mean it actually reminded me of the cheap cigars my dad used to smoke when I was a kid! That's in no way a slight on this particular stick as it did bring back some fantastic memories of bygone years I personally though, felt the final third was a bit of a struggle, it went out once, I found myself having to drwa on it once every 30 - 40 seconds rather than once every minute to keep it alight, again, that may have been more to do with the way I lit it rather than the actual stick.
All in all I actually quite enjoyed the smoke considering the price, took 45 minutes from lighting it until it went out for the 2nd time just above the band at which time I abonded it as that last third was a bit too harsh and robust for me as a beginner, it actually went to my head a bit!! Will certainly get a couple more in and let them age a bit before smoking them, got a blue one sitting in the humi which will be lit at some point in the near future which I'll compare.
Hopefully that all makes some kind of coherent sense! I did sink a few glasses of wine out the back garden in the last of the sunshine we got here today
