Cuban, figurados 132mm gauge 42, UK cost ?9.99
Out of humidor 75% rh 22 `C, After Lunch, drinking Heineken 28`C 75%rh

Appearance\construction; Seems well made; obviously the shape is very interesting, firmly packed with a pleasing odour. The pre draw was firm but not tight immediately leaving the lips coated with spice and wood flavours.

1/3 Took a bit of effort to get it going and applied 2 touch ups, once it got past the first 1\4 inch the burn and flavours really opened up. Cool smoke with a mild almost minty creamy taste. Cannot detect the spice the pre draw had.

2/3 Loving this smoke, for the first time I can smell almost floral notes, copious smoke and the burn has settled down nicely. Flavour and strength now building, ash fall at 2 inches.

3/3 Needed another touch up but afterwards continued to burn slow and straight to the end, the draw has been consistent throughout, firm but not tight. Increasing complexity of flavours more towards cream than spice. Right at the end the flavours became much more earthy.

Conclusion; Thoroughly enjoyed this cigar, smooth, complex, and interesting, after 80 minutes it started to singe my fingers, but the smoke remained cool. Will definitely be getting more of these, and am looking forward to trying the rest of the range.

Nice review of one of my favourite smokes, hats off to you for getting it to last 80 minutes, maybe the extra humidity makes them burn slower? I'm lucky to have one see me past an hour.

Nice review and a very good smoke, I must be a slow smoker also because these always last me well over and hour.

nice review dave!!! cuaba is a brand that usually goes under most smokers' radar, probably because they are mild to medium and inoffensive!!! i love them, for me they are perfect late summer/ autumn evening cigar!! the salamones is a favourite of mine, and i've been a long time champion of the now discontinued but readily available traditionales!!!

as simon said, keep the reviews coming!!!

A nice read, thanks for posting

I love the Cuaba vitola and am steadily working through a box of the Generosos currently. I don't think I have the palate to get the complexities, but I enjoy them nevertheless.
