This also brings up the 'Cohiba's need aging' argument. Really? I mean seriously?! The flagship brand from Cuba is The one brand you have to lay down for five years minimum before it becomes worth smoking?!
          Seems legit to me...

Like it or not yes, yes and yes. It is tried and tested. smaller sticks 3-5 minimum, bigger ones 5-10. Before that they all taste nasty to me.

Can't see anything on the mod tools showing a deleted post. Can't imagine it would be deleted unless it used exceptionally bad or offensive language?

I agree that for me there is little point reviewing young Cohibas as the outcome will nearly always be the same but I very much enjoy the reviews ...what I understand that is

And apologies, as i did come across a little rude, but i'm stating my opinion which is what the forum is here for.....

So you pay more, And have to wait 5+ years or they taste crap. Not a great proposition really. And comparing like for like means they lose to most other cigars for your standard smoker... Lucky someone is giving good honest reviews of them before that so most of us know before wasting our money!

Yup, many people get put of cigars for life because they buy 'the best' straight off the self and they taste like crap. I would never recommend a young Cohiba to anyone.

                            Some interesting discussion here:

Btw, I have had good aged cohibas, and some good young too, its just not a marketting strategy that works for me. You're definitely getting something different with Cohiba, the bean flavours, and a very refined smoke. Just whethr or not the investment is worth it to you, in time and money.

Young and old, its all down to the individuals tastes, one mans junk is another mans treasure n all that.

From the Cohiba I've had (Siglo II, VI, Robusto, Corona Especiale, Espelendido, Pyramide) they have all changed for the better with a little resting, they were never really nasty from day one (well part from the robusto) but all favoured my likes with some years on.

Mind you, maybe I should try and young Cohiba next with a good quantity of Caol Ila, purely for research purposes ......
