    Juan Lopez Supreme R.E Canada

    Size - 135 x 52
    Smoke Time - 1 Hour 15 mins
    Date - August 2011

Appearance: It had a colorado/colorado maduro wrapper, slight veins, some oily spots here and there with an almost smooth finish. Not pretty nor an ugly looking stick, average looking cigar wearing the Exclusivo Canada band.

    Construction:
Not hard or to firm, quite a bit of sponginess when compressed with no tight spots at all, it smoked very good, with a smooth draw, producing ample amounts of smoke. It had an even burn from start to finish, and held a firm grey/white ash. Good construction overall.

    Flavour:
Pre-draw i could taste sugary sweetness with tones of wood and hay, with some very mild spice and slight nutty notes.
The first third started off very good and straight away i was tasting a mild nutty sugary flavour, i knew now this was going to be one of those sweet mouth watering occasions. A few draws into the third now and it's giving off some very mild spice with a sweet nutty overtone and hint of chocolate, nice flavours and a room filled with fantastic cigar aroma. I got hit with a really sweet almond nut flavour, and straight away it tasted like marzipan, and reminded me of mums special fruit cake, wow, superb. Well into the first the flavour has now changed a little, remaining sweet and slightly nutty, it was giving off some wonderful creamy coffee notes and very mild spice for a short while, before it started to throw in overtones of wood and cocoa into the mix, excellent first third.
Into the second now with some tasty sweet woody notes coming through, remaining smooth with caramel and creamy coffee overtones, my mouth was watering like crazy. The cigar is drawing perfectly, producing thick white aromatic smoke and lots of coffee, cocoa and sweet almond now, nice interchange of flavours indeed. Noticing more spice creeping in now, with some nutmeg and hints of cocoa, i got this super refreshing feeling at the half way point in the cigar. Some mild notes of wood started to come through now with perfect overtones of creamy coffee and hints of sweet vanilla on exhale. At the end of the second the flavours started to get a little stronger, with more tobacco notes and slight bitter spice, it only lasted for a few draws until i got this very beany flavour just like you get in a siglo but much sweeter, it also gave some nice coffee on exhale, a cracking end to the second.
The final third it's still sweet, but i found it was becoming a little stronger with more mild spice coming through which was starting to leave a slight tingle on the tongue. The sweetness returned a little and there were some wood and nut tones coming through, with hints of coffee now and then. With just over an inch left it was still producing, with lots of cocoa and coffee flavours coming through, but i could feel the draw was becoming restrictive, almost like burning to hot. Still some coffee, vanilla and mild earth overtones were just creeping through and i did manage to get some sweet woody and grassy flavours out of it to finish off, what was a very sweet smoke.

    Overall:
This cigar was an excellent medium bodied cigar, complex, sweet and it produced a variety of mouth watering flavours. It had a good draw, even burn and produced a good amount of creamy white smoke throughout most of the cigar, it was an absolute pleasure to smoke, super smooth and sweet, almost for the entire stick. This has to be one of the best cigars i have smoked recently and is up there with the best of them. If you can get your hands on some, do as you will not be disappointed at all. Amazing stuff from Juan Lopez, a must have in the humi....

Great review! I rarely buy RE's but this sounds like one to look out for.

Nice review, don't suppose I'll come across one but I'll keep an eye out.
