  • Punch Medalla d'Oro

After a load of hype, is this the great cigar everyone expects Check out this video on YouTube:

Punch Medalla d'Oro RE Gran Bretana, meant to say the flavour of beef stroganoff not beef bourguignon, D'hOro!! ...and I do make it to my own recipe.

I won't be reviewing it three times....once was enough!! Rather spend my money on D'hOro nuts😜

Really enjoyed the review again, great intro!

Its a shame it didn't live up to your expectations, can't help wondering if they were focusing on the visual wow factor, rather than its smoking complexity. Hopefully it will improve with age.

Looking forward to your next review .

Nice job guys...Have now smoked two and the first was very ordinary, not at all bad, but not great. However, I smoked a second one a few days later and it was so much tastier and the flavours more pronounced.
Really enjoyed it...Or it could just have been the scotch!

        Keep up the good work.

        Cheers.

As usual Bill & Steve, great review.

I've only smoked one Punch M de Oro... and found it too one dimensional that made the large size of the Cigar a chore during the second half of the smoke... I have another one stocked away, will try again sometime next year and see how it goes.

          Steve

I have a theory (I hope it's wrong). A rough 'edged' with a range of decent inherent flavours will mellow and improve with age, a well flavoured one dimensional cigar will simply mellow and cigars like the Cohiba 1966 or Upmann Half Corona which have pitifully poor flavours will not improve and will just become a weakened version of the rubbish they already are.

If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
