Right, well this was my very first foray into the "New World" so I thought I'd try and cobble something together so here goes Well first off the appearance of this cigar is outstanding! Beautiful chocolate wrapper and a really silky feel to it.Very nicely packed with just the right amount of "spring" under the band.To be quite honest,at the risk of sounding a touch silly,I've had this stick since Saturday and I've wanted to smoke it before now but frankly I've been enjoying opening up my humi and taking a look, feel and smell of it! It really does look good enough to eat.Cold aroma is milk chocolate,so far so good!

The draw is good, just about the right amount of resistance in it.Try as I might for the best part of five minutes there are no discernible pre-light flavours but there is something unusual and never before experienced.Drawing makes my mouth really dry,I wish I could explain it better than that but it's actually quite a strange sensation, almost like having just put a teaspoon full of dry cocoa into my mouth.

Lit very nicely and into the first 1/3.Right away it's a very viscous and VERY sweet smoke, the sweetness growing in a strong, tangible way on the palette as I'm drawing.Very sweet and very creamy indeed.Razor sharp burn and about 1/2 inch in there is some wood coming in and I think some pine(??) Still leaving my mouth feeling very dry after each draw,it's not particularly unpleasant, just very strange.

The second 1/3 brought some coffee and some cocoa into play, definitely medium bodied by this point.Tiny bit of spice on the back of the palette. The ash is a flaky white which,in contrast to the wrapper, continues to make the cigar aesthetically pleasing. The sweetness has receded slightly.Into the final 1/3 and it's a very rich cigar with quite a long, spicy finish. Not much in the way of flavour transition but the sweetness has returned to it's opening qualities, perhaps a touch nutty(??) Mostly just quite a pleasant toasted tobacco profile.

Overall impression is that it's quite a pleasant little smoke. It's not terribly complex and it's very understated in it's flavours but it's ok.It might sound like a strange thing to say but reflecting afterwards the analogy that ran around my head was one of a child's school report. This particular child is performing at the national average, not the dullard in the class but not the high flying achiever either.I hope I don't sound like I'm being too critical because that's not what I mean to be.I have absolutely no frame of reference but my sense is that the cigar performed exactly as it was designed to,so to speak, and in that much it'd be hard to be overly critical.A pleasant enough smoke and I'd certainly run it out again. Thanks for reading, cheers everyone

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Duly noted and fair point I'll see if I can change it on the edit.
