A good beating from My Father

My secret santa sent me one of these, I have allowed it to settle in my humi since b4 Christmas, the colourful bands and cedros wrapper seduced me yesterday.

I gave it a nosing pre light and found it to be quite light in fragrance, after cutting and a slow sooook i found no stand out flavours, toasting and lighting were another matter, an explosion of aroma filled the air around me, the first 2 thirds were wood, nuts, sweet, cocoa and through the nose pepper on a grand scale, all of which i really enjoyed, after that the nicotine hit blew me away and i was unable to finish, left a good inch and a half to waste, smoke time was about an hour and a half, to me this was a lovely smoke until it beat me half to death, draw and burn were up with the best, not a new problem for me as i have been Cigar whipped by several larger sticks in the past.

Nice review! Got one of these bad boys in my humidor from the SASI just gone. Now I know what to expect, I shall smoke after a filling meal!

Here's the My Father La Bijou from last night. Pity but it was the only one I had! Excellent smoke.

If the chance arises I think I would give a smaller Vitola a try as it seems just the big boys that beat me up.

Precisely my experience. I dumped it at 2" remaining.
Putting it simply, I won't be going there again when there are other cigars that are better suited to my taste.
