Yes another review and yes i really dont have anything better to do atm.

So after seeing my folks on holiday last year i go to my favourite tobacconist in sitges just 2 mins walk from the station and 5 mins from a great cafe mont roig so i go in buy a few things and get reminded that i normally buy ryj churchills when im there so i get a box of the normals a few dozen short churchills and i get a pair of wide ones for free now im going to nickname them water closets after the friends of habanos review.

Soo construction is....oh fuck it.

Lets just say it like this its been sitting in my humi since AUG so a good 4 months of perfect humidity and it tastes of nothing except toasted tobacco what taste i do get from that is very thin and watery the draws perfect but there is almost no smoke and the burn is appauling.

So unless this picks up in the next inch and it bloody well better its going out the window and this will turn into a ERDM demi tasse review.

ps. Its now turning bitter too FML

2 inches in and nothing is changing the burn is still bad even after removing the ash and relighting while making sure several times everything is glowing hot.

Ive checked my humi and its still holding at 66%

The flavour is muted at best the bitterness keeps coming and going and the amount of smoke is tiny.


No this is becoming a demi tasse review overall im sticking to the normal/short churchills from now on.

What year are they buddy? might be going through their sick period. They could be fake? Any way you could take them back for a refund?

Not 100% sure on the box but if i remember correct it was 2010 so yeah i bit young but i still expected more even a young ryj has more flavour than that did and i doubt they are fakes ive always had great service from that shop getting them for free dosnt make me suspicious as i always always place a large order there every few months.

As for a refund that would involve me going to see my folks and that aint happening till april christ i try to stay at least a ocean away from them (normally dosnt work though)

Still ill edit this all later and turn it into a ryj/erdm review.

The WC has had some pretty poor reviews and I was a bit put off trying them but I've two and they were really great smokes....maybe just a dud?!? Mind you, at the premium price charged it's annoying when you get a duffer

i agree with you stevie, for all the bad reviews they've had, i've not had a bad one from the half dozen or so singles i've bought! strange thing is, here in belfast, they're cheaper than the short churchill (WC=?13.50, SC=?15)! go figure......
