Not using the normal review template as I typed this on my touchpad...just a brief review of a great new 'standard production' cigar.
This is my fourth and thought I'd better review it! Construction was flawless, typical dark Partagas colour.
Before even first 1/8 its producing great flavours, great draw from the start, light marsipan, hints of pepper, really nice from outset.
End of final third, really developing, bit stronger on the palette.
Into second half...coffee vanilla and a light earthiness and starting to get creamy.
Final third creamy espresso and a hint of almond, strong but not over bearing.
Overall: Great smoke, brilliant addition to Partagas line, definitely one to keep for a year or two though - I think it will develop into something even better.
Score: 93 - go grab some!
Smoked alongside Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
Purchased from Cgars, singles here, box here.
