So... I think thats everyone landed and away.
The quintero is a tiddler but its from 2000. That was the wee freebie.
The main stick. If you are ready I will share its history and source?"Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)

So here we go. The robusto shared was a custom rolled stick. This was acquired back in 2017 from the former manager of the Rome LCDH. Pre-Covid (and possibly since I just don't keep track anymore) he spent a lot of time out in Cuba. He vigorously claimed these to be CoRo. Having spent a fair amount of time in Rome I spent quite a lot of time talking to him and he never once deviated from his story. What I suspect he allowed our language differences to be vague upon is that they were rolled by an El Laguito roller, in Cuba with cuban leaf. Over the years I have had a number of different vitola from him, including some exceptional Robusto Supremos which were of a similar quality of construction and leaf as the 'CoRo', and some pyramides which were mind blowingly good... i think sold as being 'Upmann 2's CR's'. So my habit has been to reference these as Faux-hiba, and CoRo-ish...
While the narrative is akin to the tales of a man on beach whose brother, cousin, works in the factory etc etc etc...the quality speaks for themselves. Never banded, or boxed to be something they arent, and sold at a price that was appropriate, and a tasty smoke. Hope you all enjoyed them.
Do look to PeeJay post if you want to see the rather fine construction of the ash... https://www.ukcigarforums.com/forum/...8th-april-2024
For a while he got too busy and sent me some duff sticks... the COTM are from the first batch he shared with me, which I mostly smoked fresh. To his credit he replaced them all with extreme apologies, and things were back on track. Happy to point you to Massimo (facebook these days) if you are intrigued.
And ultimate thanks should go to PeeJay as he connected me to him all those many moons ago... !
