  • Bopped by the bopmachine...

Ok about a week ago Bopmachine said he had been given a couple of Montes that look and smell great however after smoking he was suspicious that they may have been fakes..

Well im no expert, but in jest i did say, send one to me and i will test it.. Well Boppy, i was joking, you know saying something with a chuckle knowing full well it would be taken that way!

Well to my surprise i was bopped as i pulled up on my drive this lunchtime, so ive been sent the other said offending stogie suspected of being fake... Well Bop said he removed the band to inspect it, so theres no band on it. Ive looked long and hard, and smelt this stogie and to be honest,, it does have a distict air about it, something not quite Monte Cristo, if you get my meaning,, none the less it does smell great, i will as promised 'test' this stick for you Boppy and let you know if i think its a fake or real..

Oh and another thing, Boppy also included a Chinchalero Torp, looks 4 by 52 to me, what a lovely surprise..

many many thanks boppy, i will fire up the monte tonight.. i will report back as to whether or not i think its fake or not, the other little baby is going in my humi for a rest for an hour or two.. yes thats right not a day or two.. an hour or two.. lmao

I dunno why you bother owning a humi, Steve, all your sticks get smoked before they'd dry out

Nice couple of sticks though, I look forward to your verdict on the questionable monte.
I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray

You can thank or curse me after the suspect has been burned lol. I hope you like the chichalero, its my favorite cheap smoke. Very mild, but i do sometimes get burn issues with them.

LMAO. Nice work Bopman & I agree, a humi is a waste of space at Eggy's house. May as well just be a tray they are laying on so he can pick which to smoke first in the never ending smokefest.
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

Good work on the Chinchalero. Remains to be seen on the Monte!

          Any results yet Eggy?

Well guys, the alleged monte was the most desperate attempt at making a cigar to look like a popular brand. I snipped off the end and noted the tip of the torp was the wrong shape, to long and to pointed!

Once lit then only thing that was good about this cigar was the even burn and bright red glow....

The taste, was shall we say very bitter and lacked any flavour, wasnt even bland, as bland can be considered a flavour. Simply bitter. I thought it might change as i got down the stogie, alas i managed about 2 inches before the bitterness got the better of me and thats where the monte wannabe went into the chimnea in the garden with the rest of the 'butts'..

As for the chinchalero... havent started it yet but ive had them before and i KNOW this is gonna be a fab smoke, and a great token bomb from Boppy!!

Nice work you two. Bops for the gifting of stogies, and Eggy for being the taste authenticator and guinea pig! (On on the extra plus side, he did survive!).
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
