but I have my CAtalogue of suspicions!
There I was sitting doing very little when the door knocker went. I wasn?t expecting anyone, but answered it anyway just in time to see a Postman Pat van driving away. A bit bewildered, as it was 2.30 and well past the usual delivery time, I turned around to go back in. It was only then that I noticed a small and exceptionally neat looking parcel sitting in the porch.
The parcel had a large, gold Royal Mail stamp of a type I?d never seen before, so being the curious type I gave it a good once-over, and just under the Postage Paid mark noticed the legend TF2. Remembering Eggy?s post from earlier today I quickly got onto a mate of mine with access to all sorts of highly classified equipment, and in minutes the answer came back Shropshire.
Imagine the disappointment. Shropshire, a made-up place, a figment of legend and fairy tales. No one believes it exists. Well, no one adult anyway!
So, somewhat sadly I looked inside the box expecting no more than maybe a free sample of seaweed hair restorer or perhaps some sort of unconvincing offer from a time-share company.
Well, I was wrong, wrong, wrong. ?Cos inside was as nice a batch of BOTL goodies as I have ever seen including a rich, oily wrappered Cohiba Genios Maduro 5. Delicious I thought, turning my attention to the calling card thinking to ascertain the identity of my generous benefactor. The signature said ?. However, a small, pinkish cat logo at the top centre of the card and the selection of pink jacketed Monty Bojangles Natural Pear Drops with the cat motif on the pack were just a little to co-incidental for my suspicious pate. Maybe it's from one of our female BOTL I thought, but quickly dismissed that idea on the grounds that Eggy had also received a similar package and what female in her right mind would be sending anything to an ugly bugger like him. The New York Delhi Chilli Lemon nuts offered no obvious clue, so maybe they?re some sort of red-herring attempt to shift blame away from these shores? But one things for sure, next Liverpool game on Match of the Day they?re gonna get scoffed-up as a special treat.
Anyway, in the best Sherlock traditions my deductions have told me that this wasn?t work of George or Shuckins or any of the pirate US BOTL crew, nor is it the work of LeeNub ?cos I know his postcode, so it can only mean one thing .... a new and seriously kind Serial Bomber is on the loose!
So while I can only thank you very, very much for your terrific gift, the questions still remain. Who would send such a generously well thought out, and very much appreciated bomb. Who are you Mr Logo ?cos ? I WILL find out and track you down ? the reprisal?s gonna be CATaclysmic!
