Bugger, just found out my earlier post seems to have not gone through! Damn. I can't remember everything I said but roughly the postie turned up this morning with a heavy box that I didn't remember ordering.

Inside we some nuts, chilli crackers and a very nice stogie.

When I went to post about my surprise package on here I realised who Pete was and what the package was about.

Great prize and some lovely extras. Thanks very much Pete:

It went something like this I believe...

OK, so it's a normal Saturday moning, everything is going well and there's a knock on the door! Hmmm...

Me: "So who's there?"
Knocker: "It's the postie"
I Open the door
Postie: "I've got a package for you"
Me: "Don't think I'm expecting anything"
Postie: "It's heavy"
Me: "OK lets have it - blimey it's heavy"

I carefully carry this heavy package upstairs and gingerly break into it.

Wow, it's full of tasty treats and a Vegas Robaina cigar.



The cigar smells lovely, very sweet and fresh smelling. Can't wait to crack on with it.

The tasty treats are some Dry Roasted & Salted Almonds and Chilli Rice Crackers. Mmmm, chilli.

It wasn't until I went back on the forum that I realised who the perpetrator of this package was - Pete. Yes, I know it said it within the package and it was full of nuts but I completely forgot this was on the way.

WTF!!! I am having a seriously bad day - am I not???

Could be worse, mine went a little tits up once I'd got to my hotel. Running back and forth between the hotel and the terminal, trying to work out why the hell my card kept getting declined when checking in. Back to ATM in airport to check balance, back to hotel, declined, back to ATM... and so on and so forth. Then called bank - they'd put a stop on it as I was at an airport.

Finally got it sorted, then realised I'd left a bottle of whisky bought for my host in Turkey at home, then realised I'd left one of my ties at home. (And so it went on). Still, I remembered my passport and I'm wearing clothes (so even if I haven't brought any others I'll keep decent, if smelly for a fortnight ).
