Excellent hit Kym!! Those grits are beloved in the Dirty South in the US of A (not to be confused with G.R.I.T.S., which happen to be way better ) (Girls Raise In The South).

One thing I can say that is very positive from all the crazy bombing is that it has opened up my eyes to things on the other side of the pond and I have gotten to learn of your great forum, of which I would never have done without everything that has gone on.

It is great to see cultural things passed along for others to try (IE: Grits, etc) and Non Cubans, especially since they are a lot cheaper for us then ya'll (I believe)

We do infact have "grits" over here. I believe they are called "polenta", found mainly in poncey Italian restaurants usually served with a small portion (or "scrap" as you would call it) of grilled meat/fish and charged at roughly the price of a large (Cuban) Cohiba.
