Wigan is a strange place. Pretty rough growing up here, every bugger plays rugby through school, the town itself is ok, bit of a shit hole these days full of chavs. We are the home of Heinz though lol

Now i live away from Wigan (ran away to sea at 21, what does that tell you), I'm not sure if i remember the good old days through rose tinted glasses or if it has really gone down hill so bad. I think like many towns there are places i wouldn't feel safe in. Having been away for 10 years i have noticed how run down the town centre looks on the occasional family visits. Just needs a bit of investment like every other town.

Take the good and forget the rest i say. Can't beat a proper meat and potato pie, Uncle Joe's mint balls or a fish and chip barm cake (for all you southerners a barm cake is a white soft bun aka bit of white bread) mmmmmmmm. Also got the Vimto HQ just off the M6 as well, the North is where is it as i tell you.

No decent cigar shops in Wigan as i remember, we need investment i tell you!!!!

No, no cigar shops. Arthur Morris is just in Bolton though, and mysmokingshop in preston. Wigan kebabs are still popular, 3 meat and potato pies on a skewer. We are also the home of JJB sports lol and George Formby I think
