Before you know it there will be a forum split of with arguments about the original brands and what's better [emoji12]

Anyway enough drama for one day. I'm in! [emoji16]

I simply don't have that many short smokes to start with and most of them are NC. The few CCs I have need some aging and I rather not ship a cigar that can't be enjoyed now. Though I personally prefer to keep it mixed (nc/cc) anyway.

But no hard feelings, most people seem to enjoy it this way and I don't have to participate in everything. It's just my point of view and I don't want to force it on anyone.

x2 cuban cigars please .... if you stick an NC 'ghostrider' in with them, then thats all good.

The rationale is simple; CC's are what we (predominantly) all enjoy - it's the common currency so to speak. Not everyone likes/ enjoys/ values NC's in the same way. The allocation of pass partners is random and so you could end up getting something you simply wouldn't value, having shared something of personal worth to your fellow BOTL.

Please could I request that all players hit the x2 cuban criteria first and foremost?

Exactly why I don't partake in such activities anymore, send a nice vintage stick and receive a dog rocket in return

I guess I just understood how some of you feel about large RGs. I had a few nice CC in the COTM, but all in all, the ones I didn't enjoy (mostly because they were 3 years too young) outnumbered the enjoyable CCs vastly for me. Hence I came to the point where I don't bother about CC COTMs much anymore. NCs often surprise me or at least give me a new experience I didn't have before.

But just like most people nowadays enjoy larger RGs, I have to admit that most people on this forum simply only enjoy CCs and are not interested in trying a NC. (or not anymore)

It's a true learning opportunity, because a small part of me wants to convince everybody of my ways, another part would of course love to participate in these activities as I have in all of them over the past two years. But my rational mind is of course right in just accepting that people are simply different and if this forum wants to go more Friends of Habanos then that's fine as well.

Having said that I do of course hope that we will have other passes in future that don't exclude anybody and include all if possible. Maybe if some members have such particular tastes, they can voice them and the sender can adjust to them. Just like a lover of lighter cigars probably wouldn't enjoy a super strong one etc.

I hear you brother! I do enjoy NC's and have some superb Davidoffs and Dunhills. Lets do a 'try somehting different pass' later in the year! That should be fun.
