I appreciate the offer but there's really no need, these things happen.

          Alright guys,

I am sorry that two of you had problems with the cigar, but I was also pleased that you seemed to like it generally.

Now, I said this cigar would be something special. As you can tell from the price, it wasn't a vintage cohiba I sent you. The speciality came from the source of the tobacco.

It is a puro cigar and not just puro by country, but by plantation. The tobacco used in this cigar was grown on a plantation in La Palma. La Palma has grown tobacco since the 18th century and used seeds from the island, so no caribean tobacco.

The cigar itself is called El Sitio. I had the pleasure to visit the factory on my trip to La Palma. Antonio Gonzalez is a living legend when it comes to tobacco and he managed to bring back a tobacco variety that was believed to be extinct. Pelo de oro.

All tobacco that goes into this cigar is fermented twice and then aged for 3 years before rolled.

I had a variety of formats of these and if you want to get some for yourself, I'd reccommend the churchill format or the No.1. (thinner than the churchill)

If you go to the Cannary Islands, look out for these. For this price, I found them to be a great mild smoke with some wonderful flavours. The larger formats are less sensitive to fast smoking.

I hope you enjoyed this one and next time, it'll be a cuban... (or will it? )
