A little clarification here, I assumed that the Demeter on Facebook who sent me this was also Demeter on here but apparently not.
So now I know I'm not going to upset anyone, thoughts on its authenticity?
He said it came back from Cuba but he doesn't know if its genuine. The Monk thinks its dodgy as do I.
I must admit I thought it looked a little off when I saw, but nothing specific I can find wrong with the the bands after a quick look, the wrapper and cap look terrible though, not necessarily a sign of a fake though
The wrapper looks pretty bad. For what they cost, wrappers shouldn't be like that at all.
They're not, at least not IMO.
I'm pretty sure that's a fake, PJ, for two reasons. First, and assuming the picture does indeed accurately show the wrapper, I can say I've never seen a Mag56 that looks anything like that one, and I've looked at over two dozen boxes, with different boxcodes. Also, the genuine cigar's "Upmann" and "Magnum 56" bands are both printed in only one strip of paper, with no space between them, and yours appears to at least have a separation, that is if they're not actually two independent bands altogether.
