Decided to have the cigar of the month this afternoon. Very pleasant mild smoke, although a little dry. Not sure what it is at a guess I'd say a Por Larrenga petit corona.
Was in good condition the wrapper on the foot was cracked otherwise in good nick.
Started of slightly bitter with a nutty taste on the lips..the 2nd third was nice the bitterness disappear and developed in to a nice creamy woody nutty taste
I smoked mine this afternoon. I didn't realise at the time but the cap was cracked almost all the way around.
I had no choice but to remove it. I thought it might fall apart but it held fine.
I don't know if it was the fact I removed the cap, or because I had a fruit scone with jam and cream just before, but
this little pocket rocket had some big kick to it. Lots of rich, earthy flavour to it.
I was thinking Ramon Allones SCC at first, but then it developed a lot of power.
I am going to take a stab at a Party Short.
Apologies Oski, meant to let you know cigar had arrived a week or so ago. Smoked it last week and I have no idea what the hell it was, very much doubt I've had one before. I have to say I quite enjoyed it, a little dark coffee and wood, with a kind of bitter roast tobacco in the last third. My guess would be a Boli petit corona, but that's all it is, a complete guess.
Smoked mine last. Cap was a little cracked before cutting and then after lighting the foot opened up and bloomed into a flower!
It was a mellow smoke to start, canoed about halfway down but touched up with the lighter and sorted it out. The last third opened up with tons of smoke which I really enjoyed and then BOOM! a massive nic hit and headrush! It left me with a mild tar / treacle / caramel taste after finishing which was very pleasant.
I thought before smoking it might have been a RASCC but not at this strength...maybe a Bolivar Coronas Junior?
Had mine today. Really lovely citrus flavours to begin with. Lots of smoke and a perfect draw. Normally those small formats are not really my cup of tea, but this was a great smoke down to the nub. No idea what it was though... 😊
This is what I love about the cigar of the month. Getting exposed to new cigars. I would have never bought this one as it's not my format, but I am contemplating buying a box now.
Is there a bolivar that's larger than this but with the same flavours?
