To be honest, given that this looks to be turning more into a regular multi buy rather than what it originally looked to be.... I'm probably going to declare myself out, if it's coming down to spending ?30 x3 for a quarter then I would just go out and buy stuff for myself that I know I want.

It was interesting to me when it was an opportunity to get a random stick a month and review it as a group. Have fun guys.

I'm not fussy, I'd rather do an idea that everyone can find fun. No reason another group can set up a regular box split thread separately. Original idea sounds good to me, can't lose Marc, he's a good member to have on something like this.
Look I'll go with whatever pleases the masses, call me minty and shear me in the summer.

Realistically IMO it's going to be best to run with the idea that brings in enough members to make it work and who will stick with it. Whichever that is then I'm happy that the forum will have some activity and I will be involved in the discussion and if needed/wanted the running of either idea even if I'm not directly involved in the split.

Before anything is going to happen there needs to be some kind of consensus from the group as to actually what we want to do..... Once we can organise that then we can actually plan administering whatever is decided, until then we're treading water.

Perhaps nothing is going to happen until someone grabs the bull by the horns and says "right, I'm running X and the rules are X now who's in?"

So lets consider the logistics. On top of the cigars there is the cost of posting which we can safely say at this time is ?2.30 per cigar by second class large letter. If you pack them like I do then each package will need a Ziploc bag and two jiffy bags for safety. That's another 50p if like me you buy your jiffys by the hundred. So shall we round that up to ?3.00 p&p.
I would propose that the host changes every month on a pre-set rotation. The host sources the cigar and advertises in advance what the cost is going to be for that month and when everyone has coughed up he posts out the cigars.
That means every player must have PMs because payment methods cannot be discussed in open forum.
The host will also be responsible for policing his month. Birthday bombers will notice that I always check what you have received. That is because one person who signed up for the game never participated.
I would be prepared to source and host the first month.

As the month progresses I feel anyone willing enough should be able to nominate themselves, step forward and organise the next month. This might save hassle if eg someone is too busy/on hols/dropped off the planet etc.... This will keep things rolling as there's nothing worse than trying to goad on someone who's not responding to emails/PMs etc
