Birthday bomb

MarkLondon recently came up with the idea of bombing people on their birthdays and I raised the danger of having dates of birth published on the forum. Having deliberated long and hard here is my suggestion. If you are happy I will be the 'keeper of the birthdates' (yes I do like fantasy fiction) and when a birthday is due I will PM all the participants with the birthday boy's address and we all send him a cigar. Just one cigar of the sender's choice, doesn't have to be expensive because we all have different incomes. It costs the players one cigar every now and again and the recipient gets well bombed. I have to declare that my birthday is early April and of course if you're in February you may have to wait till next year. Anyone up for it?

Why not, the upsurge in activity recently has been nice!

I really don't see an issue with publishing dates though..... Almost every other forum I go on has a forum birthday feature that says who's birthday it is that day at the very bottom of the page.

I wouldn't have seen it as a problem if we hadn't all published our years of birth on another thread. Wanna play? Send me the day.

The important thing to make this work is to only send what you can afford. If a better off member sends you something good on your birthday you don't bust yourself to reciprocate. It's the thought that counts.

Agreed, the beautiful thing about this forum is the complete absence of finance related ego and judgement.
