Probably not best to advertise on a public forum an intention to post Cuban goods to an American, probably nothing would come of it but if it did then there would be written evidence of his prior knowledge..... I don't know how serious a crime they consider it.

No worries on if it is exotic or not. Not that big of a deal to me. Would the person I am sending a cigar to like something they can get in the UK or would they prefer something we have in the states that is not available in the UK? As for the crime part of it.....well yes it is here. That being said if they where handing out fines and/or jail time I would have been in federal prison long ago. I just don't want to expose the board to any undue problems because of me.

ValeTudoGuy I just wanted to throw this part in for you since the subject is taboo here in the US for the most part:
The OFAC can fine individuals up to $250,000 and 10 years in prison for embargo violations. They can also slap you for another $65,000 per violation in civil penalties if they so see fit.

Word around the campfire is US Customs is targeting individuals from Preston, UK for this very thing! I have no idea why.....that is what I have heard.
