ss.Tippex.from.2013.02.19.SAM_0290.jpgAs we pass the middle of Febuary, it seems more than a little tardy to be mentioning Santa & things Christmassy. We this parcel was posted in good faith just after New Yr but missed me & has been languishing at Mother Dearest's ever since. Mother assumed, not unreasonably, it was more fishing lures which could wait until my next visit at Easter. A little chasing up discovered this problem & after some gentle persuaion Mater fwded it on. I am glad to say it arrived in the middle of the North Sea today. All I can say is that it has proved to be well worth the wait & amazingly the cigars still have a a decent humidity, a sign of good care & careful wrapping.

The contents include: LCG Tianos 2009, QdO Panatela 2006, Party PC FGOA8U, LSdL Creamas 1998, Punch RE Superfinos 2005 & Boli Demi Tasse 2001. Topped off with a splendid looking NC Rodrigo, I try & get through some NC's during Lent so this one might not be on the Humi long, best smoke on a full stomach though, powerful smoke apparently.

Many, many thanks Arf, you are a true BOLT & I am delighted with everyone. The wonderful thing about this game is getting to stick you might never have found yourself (the Italian Punch I hadn't even heard of) or be unlikey to buy a whole box of just to try them eg the QdO Pan. I do now know how good these are, as Art was kind enough to send me one prev during a slim cigar swap. I would heartly recommend others finding partners next Christmas but I think it's best done on a one to one basis, with people you have got to know & correspond with. Otherwise unfortunately, previous experiences have shown that someone always seems to lose out along the way.
I'll be sure to give a review when smoking these fine stogeys

Simon - You may well have smoked one before but IMO the Rodrigo is one of the best cigars I've ever had - and that includes the Cubans. I received one in a trade a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - from beginning to end. Enjoy yours !

                Nice selection Simon.

Steak, Red wine and a hammer to face ..... what could possibly go wrong?

Pleased they arrived smokable Si. A bit of time and humidity wont hurt though.

With the Boli DT, because of their age, I've found that taking them slowly over a couple of weeks up to 75? and then dropping them back again to 69/70? brings out their best. (An experiment I did recently with 5 from my box — it's a Ron Min Nee based thing, so blame him).

The Absoluto is a fabulous tasting cigar, but be cautious, as much as I loved the flavour the power wouldn't let me pass half way. Monk has one too, but I don't know if he's dared it yet? That little Partagas isn't a PC, it's a Tres Petit, a tad longer than a Shorts and IMO a whole lot tastier!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

                      Hi Arf,
Just got back home after a pretty horrendous journey to find most of the waters frozen so might have a chance to smoke somthing tomorrow. Maybe I'll start with the TPC?

Well, I didn't pass out from the stick, if that's what you're saying.

Guess I'll have to order another 5-pack of the La Fortaleza to retain my "man card!"
